Mr. Shukla also drew inspiration from Rabindranath Tagore, stating, “You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water,” and shared a timeless quote from Charles Dickens: “For it is good to be children sometimes and never better than at Christmas when it is whispered that the mighty maker of this world was a child Himself.” This caused the audience to be encouraged to have hope, be united, and have more focus on what they will be doing in the forthcoming year. Enjoyment, facts, and holiday mood There were so many entertaining programs throughout the evening with trivia being the most enjoyable and hilarious ride. ASARP Leads the Way: The Evolution of Strategic Partnerships Between US and Indian Realtors Chicago, IL – To demonstrate its support for international business cooperation, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) recently held its annual convention in Boston, with over 13,000 participants, including representatives of the real estate industry from all over the world. Interestingly the event also hosted over 15 distinguished real estate personalities from NAR India which signaled the beginning of a new chapter of cooperation between the American and Indian property markets. The Indian team had some big names in the industry including Tarun Bhatia, Amit Chopra, Sumnath Reddy, TT Reddy, Ramkumar Krishnamoorthy, Chandrasekhar K., Shailesh Bahety, Kritish Korivi, Ashwin Rasane, and Amit Chug. Their involvement was a testament to the fact that both countries were equally determined to promote the positive attributes of a transparent, professional, and innovative real estate market. Building on the Partnership in Chicago As is the tradition, the NAR India delegation went to Chicago in order to entrench cooperation with the real estate players in the United States and identify other areas of Mutual Benefit such as MLS in India. They were able to make a site visit at the NAR headquarters, interact with Main Street Realtors, and meet with MRED, LLC which is the largest MLS provider based in Chicago. The group was accorded a warm reception by Pradeep B. Shukla, director at NAR and MRED, LLC, alongside other ASARP members. Key ASARP members from the US, including Sunita Kakarlapudi, Shirin Marvi, Bhailal M. Patel, Harsha Shukla, Raj Patel, Nick Verma, and Nimish Jani, also launched their statements to fortify the bond between the two countries in the property business. On this aspect, Mr. Shukla underlined the need for cooperation, hoping that transactions of clients from India who are interested in acquiring different forms of real estate in the USA, including residential, commercial, and investment ones, would become as seamless as possible. The growth of the Indian community in the U.S. and the trade relations, which have already exceeded $191 billion in 2023, make it equally interesting and promising for both organizations and for the real estate market as a whole to expand cooperation in this area. Promoting MLS Implementation in India Main agendas focused on the adoption of MLS in India, and in this regard, Rebecca Jensen and Pratik Padella of MRED provided valuable implications on the change that the system can bring. While addressing some of the issues related to the Indian real estate sector and emphasizing that it is highly unorganized, the chairman of NAR India, Sumnath Reddy, has a positive attitude toward MLS’s role in enhancing its transparency, credibility, and approachability. Ramkumar Krishnamoorthy and Kritish Korivi correctly pointed at the global partnerships and securely established cross-border transactions as key components. They pointed out that an MLS system would provide Indian buyers, sellers, and investors with accurate data, as is the case in the United States. For instance, Chairman Pradeep B. Shukla stressed the clarity of thought and operations by quoting ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Well to quote the famous words of Abraham Lincoln: “If you don’t know where you are going any road will get you there,” he said. Sunita Kakarlapudi gave her presidential induction speech about the incoming year, which was filled with challenging and motivational goals. These were such activities as the membership drive of ASARP, the formation of partnerships with other such organizations as the Main Street Organization of Realtors, and the sending of a landmark delegation to New Delhi in March 2025. This delegation is designed to enhance cooperation with NAR India following the earlier trade mission with ASARP of Chicago. One of the major points of discussion during the meeting was a debate on the role of women: empowered Females by Harsha Shukla. She stressed the need to ensure diversity and inclusion in all the activities of ASARP. “It is not merely about giving women a voice and a chance to be seen—it is about giving them a chance to effect real change in the industry,” she said animatedly. However, Mita Jani and Malti Pandhi brought new concepts to the organization aiming at achieving higher levels of performance. At the time as the meeting was in progress and was coming to an end, the leadership of ASARP was very much inspired and committed plus there was strong group solidarity. The dependency on each other to enable South Asian real estate professionals and promote culture as such was evident in all conversations. During this planning meeting, all the attendees were reminded that ASARP is a support and voice for professionals of South Asian heritage, and the leadership of the organization paves the way for a better tomorrow. Combined, the organization is set to record better results as it advances its core service delivery, growth, and power to empower.

Kakarlapudi also announced a major milestone: Proposals for an ASARP delegation to New Delhi in March 2025 to build a relationship with NAR India, an organization that has only started its first trade mission to Chicago.
