ASARP Charts a Bold Path for the Future at November 2024 Planning Meeting

ASARP Charts a Bold Path for the Future at November 2024 Planning Meeting Des Plaines, IL, November 23, 2024 – Recently, the Association of South Asian Real Estate Professionals (ASARP) had a visionary planning meeting with its president Sunita Kakarlapudi at Gurnee, IL. This groundbreaking meeting also demonstrated the conviction of ASARP in the furtherance of its goals of becoming a one-stop information center and source of leadership for South Asian real estate professionals in North America. The evening was inaugurated with a motivational speech from Past President Shirin Marvi who stressed the need to build the solid structure of ASARP. It befits the role of a motivator who urges members to increase their efforts and contribute to the success of the organization. In a bid to enliven the audience, the Chairman of ASARP, Pradeep B. Shukla effectively compared the organization’s development to a segment from Alice in Wonderland. Taking the cue from the conversation that Alice had with the Cheshire Cat regarding which path to take, Shukla emphasized the much-needed positive definition of ASARP’s vision and mission. The metaphor he used was indeed deep and made members embrace a more strategic effort to achieve organizational objectives. Drawing from this momentum, President Sunita Kakarlapudi released several change management projects. She explained the means and ways for increasing the membership base and nurturing cooperation with such organizations as the Main Street Organization of Realtors. Kakarlapudi also announced a major milestone: Proposals for an ASARP delegation to New Delhi in March 2025 to build a relationship with NAR India, an organization that has only started its first trade mission to Chicago. All these measures are evident and show a commitment by ASARP to improve its impact on the local and international arena. The theme of Empowerment came to the foreground as Harsha Shukla spearheaded an engaging session on enhancing women’s involvement in the real estate sector. Speaking for more opportunities and resources, Shukla underscored the value of diversity and inclusion for ASARP as the organization’s key principles of equity in the field. For the future, Bhailal M. Patel outlined a grand plan for ASARP events through 2025. He urged attendees to support in a louder and better way by donating their money as well as time which helped rejuvenate the spirit of the participants. The meeting ended with promises from the main representatives, such as Mohan Kakarlapudi and Bimal Pandhi, to enhance the member experience. Other suggestions from Mita Jani and Malti Pandhi also focused on the idea of taking ASARP to the next level. This dynamic planning session not only provided for an exchange of ideas but also for the implementation of strategies. Being an organization exclusively dedicated to leadership, education, and advocacy, ASARP remains the trailblazer for the South Asian real estate workforce, and the industry testament in general. Based on this reflection, as ASARP moves to the future, it stands as a symbol of power, creativity, and cooperation focused on the development of members and the societies they impact.
